Zachary Kleyn

Zachary is a currently a freshman in Environmental Geoscience. We interviewed him to get his take on Purdue and his experiences here.

What got you interested in your field of study?

I got interested by going on trips to National Parks and seeing the amazing rock formations in the western states.

How has Purdue prepared you for your future career?

My professors have incorporated interactive labs and lectures into my classes and have given me meaningful information that I believe will help me in my future.

What do you love about the College of Science?

I like the frequent and various opportunities the College of Science offers to all of its students as well as the well-rounded curriculum they have established.

What are your future career goals?

I want to become a geologist for an oil company.

What club(s) and organization(s) have you gotten involved in?

I am currently a member of the Halberdier Club (Tarkington Hall). I like working to plan events that will benefit my residence hall and offer a nice break from school work for students who live there.
